Austin World Cup is exclusively organized and operated by Texas Football Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Tournament Format

6 country teams, one round-robin group, everyone plays everyone once, followed by a knockout to the final, all condensed into two dates. Every team is guaranteed five matches.

Group Stage

One group of all 6 teams. Every team plays every other team once, for five guaranteed matches. Standard scoring: 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss. The top four teams in the combined standings advance to the semifinals.

If teams are level on points, standings are decided in this order:

  1. Goal difference
  2. Goals scored
  3. Head-to-head result
  4. Disciplinary / fair-play record
  5. Random draw if still tied

Knockout Stage

Semifinals, a third-place match, and the final, all played on Finals Day. A finalist plays a maximum of seven matches across the whole tournament.
