Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a team to register?

No. Register as an individual for $69 and we will assign you to a country team that needs players once your payment clears. You will not select a country yourself; the tournament admin handles assignment to keep rosters balanced.

How does a complete team register?

A captain or manager registers the team for $399, proposes a country (from the country list on the team form), and can submit a roster immediately or add players later. Country and tournament place remain subject to admin approval.

What's the roster size?

Up to 7 players per team, 7 recommended. The captain can submit fewer at registration and complete the roster later using the team's join code. Need a larger roster? Email info@austinworldcup.com to request more spots.

How do players join a team after it's registered?

The captain receives a join code by email after payment. Anyone with the code can add themselves to that team's roster at no additional cost, up to the 7-player maximum.

What does the registration fee include?

All scheduled group and knockout matches your team qualifies for, one center referee per match with all referee fees included, a complimentary full uniform per registered player, match recording, tournament photography, and free player water at the venue. There are no added weekly match or referee fees.

What's the tournament format?

6 country teams in one round-robin group. Everyone plays everyone once (five guaranteed matches per team), then a knockout stage: semifinals, a third-place match, and the final. See the Tournament Format page for full details.

When are matches played?

The tournament runs September 12 and September 20, 2026, at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex. See the Schedule page for fixed dates, times, and fields. Detailed per-team fixtures are published after registration closes and the group draw is completed.

I'm traveling from outside the U.S. Will registration guarantee I can enter the country?

No. Registration does not guarantee entry into the United States. International participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own passports, visas, travel authorization, and other entry requirements. Austin World Cup does not provide immigration sponsorship, guarantee visas, or make immigration decisions.

What's your refund policy?

See the Refund Policy page for full details.

How often does Austin World Cup run?

We intend to organize a new tournament approximately every 2 to 3 months. The tournament after this inaugural event is tentatively planned for early Q1 2027.
